I&E Project Coordinator

I&E Project Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining and improving the plant instrument/electrical systems.  Oversees and coordinates the development and planning of Electrical and Instrumentation projects by working with the Maintenance Superintendent / Reliability Manager and I/E Engineer to develop and implement plant electrical and instrument Capital and Expense projects. Provides electrical and instrumentation design assistance to all departments as needed.  Responsible for performing duties as backup I&E Supervisor.




  • Provides project team leadership necessary to meet defined project deliverables and maintains positive working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Supervise electric and instrument project personnel, directs project activities and scheduling.

•    Provide Electrical and Instrumentation design support to Project Team

  • Responsible for the technical development of assigned plant project P&IDs.
  • Monitor project metrics including budget and cost expenditures
  • Development of instrumentation installation drawings, data sheets and specifications, to be in full compliance with recognized industry and safety standards.
  • Work with Project Engineer in the technical development of assigned plant project P&IDs.
  • Plan and develop I/E project schedules and manpower requirements.
  • Assist Maintenance Superintendent in developing plant I/E Technicians skills and capabilities in the operation and maintenance of plant instrumentation and electrical systems.
  • Develop and implement project(s) to upgrade plant motor control centers and power distribution throughout the plant.
  • Consistently keep Stakeholders advised of progress via oral and written reports.
  • Assist with trouble shooting of electrical problems (motors, wiring, etc.) to find root cause and implement corrective action.
  • Respond when and where needed during emergency downtime situations or when problems occur.
  • Review work orders and coordinate repairs with the production department.
  • Provide and or conduct safety and technical training for I/E personnel.
  • Continuously improve the unit digital control system. Determine and make the necessary improvements to stay current with process demands.
  • Coordinate with I/E Engineer on budget estimates, submission of RFEs and implementation.

  • Build and enhance relationships with electrical contractors, vendors, suppliers to improve access to needed parts/support to improve plant reliability.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Control  and/or Instrumentation with a minimum of two years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education with more than 5 years of experience in I&E field.
  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing/chemical process environment preferred
  • Supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Proficient with install, calibrate, maintain, commissioning of Instruments like DP & temperature transmitters (wire and wireless), Analyzers, Control Valves, local load cell system.
  • Proficient with Fisher- Rosemont’s DeltaV, Digital control systems with Field-bus communication system preferred.
  • Proficient in interlocks with equipment like rotary/screw compressors, blowers, heat-exchangers, bag filters preferred.
  • Knowledge of boilers, steam turbine, wet scrubber for de-sulfurization is a plus.
